There is this awesome library and dynamixel shield for arduino to communicate with the dynamixels:
Could you tell me when this dynamixel shield would be accessible? I can't find any link on your website selling this shield? Although the library is already accessible through the arduino IDE.
Oh, wow, I was surprised that you found this "hidden" information.
Dynamixel Shield is in developing process, and it has been delayed.
You can keep track on the progress from below Robotis GitHub repository.
The specific date for selling DynamixelShield has not been decided yet.
Thank you for the interest :)
Thanks for your quick reply!!
Yes, we would be very interested to try this DynamixelShield. We have been working with the opencm9.04 so far, but we would like to work with the Arduino environment.
The board also have the different connections needed by the different dynamixels -> TTL, TTL(XL-320) and the RS483 communications. And this is really great to have!
Our research lab would also be interested in testing any beta version if possible...
Is there a way to subscribe to a newsletter in order to be inform on the progress of the project? Or is it too new?
Well I hope, it's a project that will goes on.. it's a very nice shield to have!
It looks like the DynamixelShield could be available within a few month.
You can request more details by contacting at Robotis Channel ( firstname.lastname@example.org ).
