I want to use my R+ manager 2.0 to my Dynamixel SM430-W350, but it keep reporting failed to connect to the device. I can download codes to the motor and let it rotates, so i don't know where is the problem.
and when i choose the "Recovery", it shows that only one device can be connected each time, but I do connect only one device.
can anyone do me a favor? thank you very much!
@willson will probably give you more clues than I can. I am guessing you have XM430-w350?
Maybe the real question is how do you have these servos connected to your PC (Windows?, Mac?, Linux?)
I am assuming you are using some form of Servo controller? U2D2? OpenCR? OpenCM9.04?
Note: the recovery system always gives you that warning.
If you are using OpenCM9.04, there may be additional steps you need to do, like first go in and install the default firmware on it. Then configure it to the right BUS and Bus baud rate.
Again depending on what you are using to control the servos, you may need to configure the R Plus Manager to search on the Baud rates your servos are configured for. And assuming you are using a controller that works with R Plus manager, when you try to recover a servo, I typically get the recover screens up until it is looking for the servo and then plug it in (or turn the power on to it) depending on which controller I am using.
As Kurt mentioned above, we need to know which controller(OpenCR, OpenCM9.04 + OpenCM485 EXP) or interface (USB2Dynamixel, U2D2, SMPS2Dynamixel) you are using to connect Dynamixel to your PC.
Correct solution can be provided with more information.
FYI, the code cannot be downloaded to Dynamixel, but has to be downloaded into the controller such as OpenCR or OpenCM9.04.
Dynamixel is a smart actuator that can report status for your given instructions, but does not save your source code in it.
