POST No. 2407433
openCR error
2019-06-03 16:21:23 Allie

Hello, we have an openCR board here. After the power is turned on, the power indicator is not lit, and the chip is hot. What are the possible reasons for the board to appear? Let's check the reason first, we need your help urgently, I hope you can answer it as soon as possible.

@willson will hopefully give you a much more complete answer...

But if it were me, the things I would check and do include:

a) Check for shorts - That is I would remove everything plugged into the OpenCR board, and make sure it is not sitting on anything that could potentially short something out.

b) If I apply power and if no power light and something getting hot, UNPLUG.    Again I would visually inspect the board to see if anything obvious.

c) I would also use a meter and check how much resistance from power in to GND, if very low then probably a short.  Would also check some other things like if not getting overly hot, what voltages are you seeing at some of the places...  Also check fuse and check switches...

But again just my normal steps of checking out board

Hi,

If the power LED does not turn on when the power is connected, please try bootloader recovery and download Arduino examples.

http://emanual.robotis.com/docs/en/parts/controller/opencr10/#burn-bootloaderwindows

If the power LED doesn't lit after the above instruction, most likely the board is shorted and damaged on power ICs.

Thank you.
