Lds-01 with arduino

Dear community, I have a problem with connecting the lds-01 to an arduino board. I tried to connect the Lidar like it is shown in the datasheet. But I there are shown only 4 wires(rx, TX, 5v and ground) and I don't know how to deal with the other ones. I tried it by my self and connected the caplets as usual to the arduino and connected the motor 5v to arduino 5v and the motor pwm wire from the motor to ground, the pwm wire from the sensor I doesn't connected. I could read some values (distance /intensity) but they were not corresponding to the angles Can somebody help me? Kind regards Eduard

I haven't tested LDS-01 without the USB interface, but it seems like the PWM signal is required in order to rotate the LDS motor.

Since I do not have much information regarding the sensor, it is difficult to estimate how it works, but the sensor might need a PWM signal and "Begin operation" signal to properly transmit the data.

There could be more engineers in ROS forum who used the sensor like you are trying.

Thank you.
