Dynamixel controlled by Arduino and 74LS241 - problem with obtain position at high rotational velocity

Hello, I'm using Dynamixel Mx-12W, which is controlled by Arduino with a 74LS241 buffer chip. Controlling rotation is good, but when I want to read the current position I have a problem with higher rotation speed: often Dynamixel sent value equal -1. The actual position is for me very important because I need to obtain a period of rotating to compute the frequency. Can You help me? Maybe You have solutions, which can solve my problem?

In order to provide more relative information, it is important for us to know which library and source code you used.

I've tested MX-12W with DYNAMIXEL Wizard 2.0 and following Present Speed graph was acquired.


Note that left two bumps are CCW rotation while right three bumps are CW rotation where the MSB of the 2byte Present Speed is 1(negative value) in order to identify reverse direction.
