I am trying to control two dynamixels in parallel connected on separate ports. Is it recommended to
have the dynamixels pros at baud rate (1 Mb/second) for this ?.
As per your documentation here in the sample code (https://emanual.robotis.com/docs/en/software/dynamixel/dynamixel_sdk/sample_code/python_multi_port_protocol_2_0/#python-multi-port-protocol-20) , it
is recommend to keep the dynamixel pros at 1 Mb/second.
If it is recommended to be at 1 Mb/second. Then why are the dynamixel pro's are set at 57600 per second out of factory and not at 1 Mb/second?. Please let me know. Thank you
I'm sorry about the late reply.
Default setting is provided as it is most reliable on various hardware configurations.
Depending on your requirement, please modify the baudrate and other parameters such as return delay time to maximize the control frequency of your controller.
Also, when connecting two DYNAMIXEL to different ports, each DYNAMIXEL don't have to be an identical buadrate as they are not in the same network, which means, they can even have an identical ID when they are connected to separate ports.
