I want to determine when is a good time to move to Foxy on 20.4 for the Turtlebot3. It will have long term support. Currently, I am using Dashing on 18.04. I notice that your ROS2 section in your eManual supports Dashing installs. I want to work on a stable Turtlebot3 platform that has good support for navigation (Navigation2). If I should be moving to Foxy, i want to do it now. I want to do that when it is least disruptive. If I am better off with Dashing for now, I'm willing to wait.
Thank you for your feedback.
We're currently rewriting TurtleBot3 manual to support various ROS versions, including Foxy.
The update will be available within this week.
FYI, we're using Ubuntu 20.04 LTS for desktop(Remote PC) and Ubuntu 20.04.1 preinstalled server ARM64 for Raspberry Pi 3B+.
It seems this combination is stable.
