AX-18A Recovery Failed
2021-10-12 15:51:23 2408057

When the AX-18A steering gear is in the position mode, the position information is not fed back. The steering gear cannot reach the specified position according to the command, but is rotating all the time. Try to repair the firmware to solve the problem, but the LED is always on after successfully repairing the firmware. The corresponding information cannot be found when using dynamixelwizard2 to find the steering gear. When using dynamixelwizard2 to repair the firmware, dynamixelwizard2 does not respond during the repair process.

Hi,

Leaving the third party serial-USB interface aside, I see that the LED of ID 10 AX DYNAMIXEL is turned on all the time, which means it doesn't have a proper firmware.

This could be caused by unsuccessful firmware recovery or corruption of the firmware.

Firmware recovery should be performed, but as I mentioned in the previous thread, it is recommended to use either U2D2 or USB2DYNAMIXEL when configuring DYNAMIXEL with ROBOTIS software.

Thank you.

After the external circuit is connected to the servo through the U2D2 module and the matching power adapter board, the AX-18A servo light is always on. After opening the DYNAMIXEL Wizard 2.0 servo test software, click Scan to search for the servo model. Click the terminal Recovery button in the toolbar to repair the firmware of the servo, and then click Next. At this time, the servo model selection column will appear. Select the AX-18A model and click Next, click V27 on the new page, and then click Next, select Corresponding to the com port (my computer is com15), and then click Next. At this time, turn off the power adapter board for a few seconds and then turn it on again. It is found that there is no response. After repeating the operation several times, it is still the same. The firmware cannot be burned and refreshed.
Thanks
